Ram 1500, New Zealand's best-selling large pick-up truck for the past decade, has a new addition to the line-up with the arrival of the Express Black Edition, due in showrooms this month.
Standard equipment includes a Mopar sports performance hood (that's bonnet to us Kiwis), side steps, black mirror caps, black door handles, black badging, black grille, black headlights and black 20-inch wheels.
The Ram 1500 Express Black Edition is equipped with the same highly regarded ‘Hurricane’ twin-turbo in-line six-cylinder petrol engine (313kW/635Nm) and eight-speed automatic transmission as the Ram 1500 Rebel and Laramie Sport.
The Ram 1500 ‘Hurricane’ engine has more power and torque than the previous 5.7-litre V8 Hemi (291kW/556Nm) and is more efficient.
“Ram has always been about strength and attitude, and the Express Black Edition takes that even further. Bringing this model to New Zealand for the first time, at this exceptional price point, along with RAM’s outstanding towing capacity of up to 4500kgs, is a milestone for us, and we can't wait to see it on Kiwi roads.” Said Todd Groves, General Sales Manager of Ram Trucks NZ.
