Which is better for your ute – a canopy or a lid?

Crown Canopies fuse high-performance materials for greater strength and durability

It depends on what you are doing with your ute, and it depends on your idea of aesthetics, but Fully Equipped has a product to suit, in the form of a Crown canopy or the latest Defender hard lid.

“Crown canopies,” says Fully Equipped general manager Alan Simpson,“ are built and tested to enhance the utes of our customers, all of whom have different lifestyles and requirements.

“They are ideal for tool-of-trade vehicle applications for their ease of accessibility and ability to accommodate larger cargoes or well-side interior fitouts. They also provide up to 100kg of external load capacity.”

A hard lid – like the Defender model – provides a stylish and secure alternative to a canopy, affording a more complete and personal look to a well-side ute.

The Defender features the convenience of a single pop lock handle to efficiently lock the lid on both sides of the tray and a 47-degree opening angle – the largest on the market – ensuring easy access from any angle.

Built from a 2.5mm layer of checker plate aluminium with a black powder finish, the Defender can support cargo rails and cross bars to carry a 50kg load, while looking stylish and being durable.
