VW shows off Scout 4WDs

News and General

VW has shown off its new Scout EV 4WDs in America. The company will build a double cab pickup and a four door SUV, with vehicles going on sale in late 2026 or early 2027.
Why the long lead time? One reason may be the decision to keep Scout 4WDs out of the established VW dealer network, selling direct to customers.
The company says this means complete price transparency for buyers.
VW dealers are understandably a bit upset.
Scout will also need to set up service arrangements for the Scout brand, which may or may not be at VW sites.
