Solar power: a solution for every setup

Products

When Kiwis go 4WD adventuring these days, an enormous number of gadgets come along for the ride. This means keeping a charged battery is more important than ever. Solar panels and blankets offer a solution.
Suitable for permanent installations, fixed solar panels are typically found on the roof of RVs, camper trailers and 4x4 vehicles. They’re the perfect ‘set and forget’, no fuss solution for seasoned adventurers.
Designed with the harshest conditions in mind, Redarc’s fixed solar panels are built to handle the harshest extremes of weather and climate with a double-channel aluminium frame and tempered glass coating. Available in 50, 80, 120 and 180-watt power ratings, Redarc’s new fixed panels feature an increased capacity in the same form factor, meaning they are 21 per cent lighter than the previous generation panels.
For a smaller, ultra-lightweight solution, Redarc’s folding solar panels offer the same A-grade Monocrystalline cell technology in 120w and 200w sizes. Unlike many folding panels on the market, Redarc’s panels are un-glazed, featuring a less fragile ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene) coating designed to protect the Monocrystalline solar cells from damage. Using its adjustable and lightweight legs, users can make the most of patchy sunlight by angling the panels towards the sun and moving them as required. With the included a 5m Anderson-to-Anderson cable and genuine Anderson SB50 plug connectors, these panels can quickly be set up and easily packed away.
Redarc’s fixed and folding panels are complemented by a range of portable blankets. Solar blankets are the most portable and lightweight solution, easily moved around to capture the maximum amount of sunshine. Through SunPower technology, Redarc’s solar blankets can take better advantage of changes in light intensity, and through a non-reflective surface its able to make the most of sun light at increased angles. Customers can get more out of their new solar panels and blankets by pairing them with the Manager30 Battery Management System or BCDC in-vehicle charger.
