Luxury car maker Rolls Royce has finally revealed an authorised photo (albeit in camo trim) of its about-to-be-launched Cullinan SUV – as well as details of its launch programme, dubbed ‘The Final Challenge.’
The ‘Challenge’ honours the ground-breaking work 100 years ago now of company founders, the Honourable Charles Rolls and Sir Henry Royce, as they took top honours in rigorous public adventures such as the Scottish Reliability Trials, the London to Edinburgh event and the Alpine Trials to publicise the reliability of their original models.
The Cullinan one began in the Highlands of Scotland on Wednesday April 04 before heading through the Alpine snowfields of Austria, the deserts of the Middle East and finally across some of the toughest terrain in the United States. These will include multiple off-road challenges and miles of rough terrain.
The Cullinan and crew were accompanied on The Final Challenge by explorer and photographer Cory Richards, National Geographic’s Adventurer of the Year in 2012. The National Geographic team documented the journey with daily updates broadcast from the spectacular, far-flung locations Richards and the crew encountered.
